The cottage is an old stone croft house, built around 1840 and reconstructed in 1896 with subsequent extensions, which raised the roof to provide three upstairs bedrooms (2 singles, one twin-bedded) and lavatory; there is another bedroom downstairs (with double-bed and hand basin): each bed has a duvet, two pillows and an electric blanket.
There is an 'L'-shaped living room with TV, DVD and video player, dining room, fully equipped kitchen (with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave), washroom (washing machine & tumble drier) and bathroom (electric shower over bath). There is a large secure garden.
The cottage is suitable for no more than six adults. The cottage is heated by oil-fired central heating throughout which supplies hot water. All fuel is included in the price.
